Additional loads-LTL

The definition of an additional load (also known as -less than a truck load) applies to relocations with a total volume of removal goods less than 10 cubic metres. Often this might only be a single piece of furniture, for instance a settee or a cupboard. It does not really make sense to hire a whole truck for such a small batch and before you know it you might be in a situation where the freight costs exceed the value of whatever you want to transport. If you only want relocate or transport a few things, it is advisable to load these as an additional load to other transports or other relocations going into the same direction. As we do not always have a constant movement of goods in all directions at the same time available in our dispatch schedule, we advise to inform us of an eventual additional load as soon as possible to increase your chances of finding an according transport. The time frame you should allow for the time between the request and the actually projected date of transport, depending on the destination, should be up to 6 months.

Combination relocation

The difference of combination transports and relocations in comparison to individual normal relocations is that we will combine it with a second transport or relocation (or possibly more) to one tour or a round tour. If, for instance, you are planning to move from Paris to Frankfurt in three months time and you are lucky that we will be in Paris because of an other relocation at that time anyway, you can save up to 50 % of the transport costs. Instead of having an empty run, which happens quite often to other freight forwarders, we will combine your relocation in connection with the first relocation to Paris. Naturally the possibility, to combine transports in this respect also applies to any locations on the route between Frankfurt and Paris. As we also did with additional loads, we recommend to give us notice as soon as possible, if you are flexible in regard to the relocation date and want to save money.
